The grinder itself is screwed on to a new Ball Mason canning jar. With this grinder I used a solid piece of red oak, finished with a natural/clear stain or Jacobean stain and multiple coats of shellac, and finished with a wax and hand buffed. The overall height of this grinder is approximately 10” tall.
