Apple Picking in the Hudson Valley
It's apple season from now through November! Check out our recommended spots for apple picking across the Hudson Valley. Enjoy apple cider donuts, hard cider, food, taprooms and bars, live music, and family-friendly activities while you visit the orchards! Wilklow Orchards
341 Pancake Hollow Road, Highland, NY
Visit Wilklow for apple picking any day from 9-6pm through October 31st! Wilklow is a 6th generation farm and has a wide variety of apple trees to pick from. After you get your apples, stop by their farm stand for snacks and fall treats. If you stop by on the weekend, stay for dinner and a drink! Bad Seed Cider has a satellite location at the farm, serving draft cider and beer on Friday nights, Saturday-Sunday afternoons in September and October. Wilklow also has a food truck serving pizza and fries on Friday Nights and Saturday-Sunday afternoons in the Fall!

Twin Star Orchards

Enjoy live music and events at Twin Star Orchards this fall in addition to apple picking. Try their Brooklyn Cider House Ciders in the tap room and stay for pizza and burgers while you experience live music from 1-4 PM on Saturdays. Stop by the farm stand for New York wine, spirits and craft beer. Visit Friday 12 pm-7 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am -7 pm (Kitchen opens at 11).
Weed Orchards & Winery
43 Mount Zion Road, Marlboro, NY
This 5th generation farm has apple picking every day from 11 AM - 4 PM. Take your kids to the Weed Town Playground, then stop in the bakery for fresh apple cider donuts, pies, and cookies. On the weekends, go on a free hay ride in the afternoon, then stay for live music!
Hurds Family Farm
2187 State Route 32, Modena, NY
Hurds Family Farm offers hayrides, corn mazes, a playground, a bounce slide, an obstacle course, and experiences for the whole family at their 7th-generation family-owned farm. In addition to apples, they grow Christmas trees, pumpkins, vegetables, and a pollinator garden. Their mission is to provide a fun and memorable farm experience.
Apple picking is open from 10-4 PM on Fridays and Mondays and 9-5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of October.
Fishkill Farms
9 Fishkill Farms Road, Hopewell Junction, NY
Fishkill Farms has been family-owned for over 100 years. They grow organic vegetables and eco-certified fruit on their 270-acre farm year-round and sell produce through Community Supported Agriculture and their farm store. Fishkill Farms uses ecological farming practices that reduce pesticide use and fossil fuels to improve the health of the farm -- and it makes the fruit taste better!
Reservations online are required to pick your own apples! After picking your apples, visit the farm store for seasonal farm-fresh fruits and vegetables grown right on-site as well as a delectable variety of locally produced meats, fish, cheeses, yogurt, honey, maple syrup, coffee, tea, and so much more. Stay for a meal at the Cider Bar & Grill.
Barton Orchards
63 Apple Tree Lane, Poughquag, NY
Barton Orchards, a 175-acre apple orchard and vegetable farm, has been growing for over 40 years. They have a Farm Market, Ice Cream Stand, and Tap Room with live music on the weekends. There is a playground, a dog park, and a place to visit the farm animals. After you pick your apples, visit the Apple Core Farm Store in Poughkeepsie for apple cider donuts, pastries, sweets, and fresh groceries.
Open for apple picking Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11 AM - 6 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM - 9 PM through November.
Lawrence Farms Orchard

Lawrence Farms has a variety of fruits and vegetables to pick from at their family-owned farm. In operation for over 30 years, Lawrence Farms offers a diversity of crops - apples, pears, grapes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, kale, beans, corn, zucchini, squash, cabbage, turnips, mustard greens, beet greens, spinach, and pumpkins. They have chickens, goats, and a "Little Village" with a haybale maze, ice cream, donuts, and more.
Apple Picking is open from 9 AM - 4 PM Daily through October. Stay for food and snacks!
Rose Hill Farms
19 Rose Hill Farm, Red Hook
Established in 1798, Rose Hill Farm is about 114 acres and offers cherries, blueberries, plums, apricots, nectarines, peaches, and apples. They focus on agricultural practices that improve plant and soil health. Rose Hill practices holistic care of the farm ecosystem, building organic matter and beneficial microorganisms in the soil and promoting a fungal understory to help provide nutrients for the trees. They have a goal of becoming certified organic. The Farm also has wine, cider, and ferments, in addition to a taproom.
Visit Rose Hill for apple picking 3 pm - dusk Thursday and Friday, 10 am - 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Stay for a view of the Catskills and a bite to eat. Check the website for food pop-ups and special events happening during the fall!
Apple Ridge Orchards
101 Jessup Rd, Warwick, NY
Apply Ridge Orchard is open from Thursdays-Sundays from 9am - 6pm! They have an assortment of apple varieties that change as the season goes on. After picking your apples, get some fresh-pressed cider, apple cider donuts, and other treats at the farm stand. Pet and feed some friendly farm animals, go on a hay-ride around the orchard, and check out the Honey Bee Observation Hive-- be sure to pick up some raw honey produced right on the orchard! Stay for a BBQ lunch on the weekends from 10:30am-4:30pm through October. Bring the whole family for movie night October 13th and 20th from 5:30 - 8:30 PM.
